Toyota will showcase two different RAV4 concepts at the Tokyo Auto Salon, one focused on urban use with a sci-fi inspiration and the other designed for outdoor activities.
One of the models, called “Dark Side Performance,” is inspired by themes from science fiction, video games, and anime. It features a futuristic design with a shield-style front grille, blue LED lights, a sporty splitter, and widened fenders. The interior follows the same theme, with blue ambient lighting, carbon fiber details, and an adapted infotainment system.
Despite its bold look, the concept does not include engine changes, focusing solely on aesthetics, technology, and the chassis.
The second concept, “Outdoor Lifestyle,” is designed for off-road adventures. It has Toyo Back Country tires for rough terrains, black wheels, and a slight lift in the suspension for increased ground clearance.
Although it doesn’t include major changes to the bumpers to improve entry and exit angles, the adventurous look is highlighted by a honeycomb-patterned grille with the name “TOYOTA,” extended fender flares, and red mudguards.
Both models will be featured at the event, which will take place from January 10 to 12, 2025, showcasing Toyota’s commitment to exploring new design and style ideas for one of its most popular SUVs.
